We Believe

Eleanor and Emeline wrote to Santa. They put out cookies and milk for him to eat and carrots and sugar cubes in to-go bags for the Reindeer. The gel eye-pack was placed around the milk to keep it cool... Eleanor is always concerned about things spoiling.

As you can see, Santa did eat and drink and if you look closely, you can see he answered a question on Eleanor's letter.

Emeline hung around the tray for a while taking in the idea that Santa Claus had stood in this very spot and accepted her gift of food and drink. I believe, too, Emmie.

That's wonderful, Maleah. Keep the magic in their hearts for as long as you can. There isn't enough magic in the world once they get older, so this is the greatest, most amazing time in their life.

Happy New Year to you and yours, Maleah.

Keep the fire lit into the new year, let light the way through the rest of this season, and everything will be perfect. By fire I mean, keep being you, my friend.

That's Silly.

Reindeer can't open plastic baggies!

Eric,

It is so much fun to have the girls so excited and filled with wonder over the fantastic. It has me putting small pieces of paper inside a wish box by my bed. I mean, maybe...

And, I'll try to be a little light. Just like the Tinkerbell lantern Emeline got from Santa. It even makes a most amazing magical sound! Like, "here I am... tada... sparkes!" and it lights up and glows. Not a bad thing to be... thanks for the hint.

You keep being inspiring and amazingly in-touch! It's a gift, honestly.

warmly,
Maleah

Justin,

They are MAGICAL. So they eat the baggie, too.

Duh.

Happy New Year!

That's lovely, Maleah. I especially like the conscientousness of the to-go bags and standing in the place where magic recently visited.

A tumbling unfurling cornucopia of blessings for you all this year.

Ah, Dawn,

I raised a brow at the thought of the to-go bags, but I suppose so much of our lives is lived on the to-go it was a natural thought to Eleanor. And Emeline is always crackling alive with special moments others miss... "look, look," she often says. She sees things that have just flown away and she goes to bed each night as a ladybug sleeping under a mushroom and wakes each morning as a butterfly (no kidding, this is what she insists).

I do believe this is our year for blessings. May we find each shiny penny and dandelion puff as we go.

blessings back,
Maleah

Beautiful, Maleah.

Ah, what a smile have I.

I feel like I got to watch you from my front porch swing as you rode by on a bicycle with a nice, white, wicker basket on the handle bars...

Hello, Susan.

It is like Christmas in January. And February. And soon March.

It's more like Groundhog Day. Without gifts. But my tree is still up.
